When you begin as a gamer, you wouldn’t know how famous that game is and where you stand. As days go by, you will soon realize there are professional teams in your own backyard as well as around the world. And even before you know, you will be part of this religion called “Counter-Strike”. I do consider gaming as a religion because a dedicated gamer does everything which a religion demands from him. Everyday prayers are like daily practice. Weekly café visits are like you are entering the temple of God. :P And you admire those “Gods” from Sweden or other parts of Europe. Tongue out

It was a “spiritual” experience when the Gods of CS- Team Fnatic had come down to India on Jan 25th to 30th 2007 on promotional tour at the GameBox National Championship Finals in New Delhi. They visited Mumbai and Bangalore too. The finalists of the tournament had an opportunity to speak to and have a game against them. The winners ATE had an exhibition match in which ATE managed to pull in 9 rounds against Fnatic. In Bangalore, few gamers caught hold of the airport itself and managed to have a game at the Reliance web world outlet at the airport.

The main agenda was to answer few questions asked by the local teams and Dsn was thoroughly impressed by those questions as he says in his blog – “We got super good questions about different scenarios in the game and our training regime, but even though we tried to answer the questions as good as we could, we would’ve probably done a better job with some whiteboard or something to illustrate what we were trying to say. I hope that the teams were happy with our answers anyway”.

When there is a dry phase or a bad news it feels that your sentiments are being hurt. The latest one being “ESNation stopping all operation due to which there will be no more MYM teams, men and women as couple of MYM players from the Counter-Strike and Warcraft 3 teams didn't receive their monthly salaries lately”. CryThis is definitely a bad news to the gaming community. But there have been rumors that Steel Series will be getting down SK Gaming as a part of their promotional tour to India. Let’s hope it is a pleasant surprise soon Laughing
